“Gone This Year” Music Collections

A yearly music collection of the best songs by all the famous musicians who died that year.

They would generate unique, cross-genre collections that exposed new generations to great music and musicians of all kinds.

This would work (in one incarnation or another) for TV shows, movies, books, and other media, as well.
