Each holiday, choose the appropriate color(s) and pattern of lights: red/pink/white for Valentine's Day; green/white for St. Patrick's Day; red/white/blue for 4th of July; orange/purple for Halloween; multi-color of choice for Christmas; … Continue reading Year-Round Eave Lights

Attachable Light-Up Jack-o-Lantern Faces

October 31, 2021October 1, 2021 ~ Heath Fogelman ~ Leave a comment

I live in Florida, where a carved jack-o-lantern can rot to goo in a matter of days. For inhospitable climates (and just for fun) create eyes, nose, and mouths from thin LED-lined plastic or fabric of some kind. Make the LEDs able to change colors, or blink in patterns, or react to motion. Add sound … Continue reading Attachable Light-Up Jack-o-Lantern Faces

Fantasy Novel Idea: Accidental Heroes

October 24, 2021May 19, 2023 ~ Heath Fogelman ~ Leave a comment

The novel follows a group of miscreants whose bumbling from one misadventure/petty crime to another accidentally stymies the big bad evil at every turn. They aren't heroes by any means, but their actions have heroic consequences that all the true heroes in the book are unable to accomplish against the seemingly insurmountable evil they face.

Candy Grahams

September 26, 2021October 1, 2021 ~ Heath Fogelman ~ Leave a comment

Candy-covered graham cracker snacks. There are already chocolate covered graham crackers, which are delicious. But it seems like a huge missed opportunity that there isn't a whole line of snacks here. Beyond the existing chocolate, dark chocolate, and chocolate/peanut butter flavors, there could be white chocolate, peppermint bark, s'mores, and various candy bar flavors like … Continue reading Candy Grahams

Floating Hairstyles

September 24, 2021October 1, 2021 ~ Heath Fogelman ~ Leave a comment

Incorporate helium balloons into braids or ponytails to make them float around the wearer's head. Use small round ones at the ends of the braids and/or long thin ones woven into the hair. Add wire to shape the floating braids into zig-zags, spirals, helixes, or other designs.
