Hamburger, hot dog, and sub buns with the center bread removed to create a hollow for sandwich elements and toppings.
Perfect for loose-meat sandwiches, like pulled pork, or loose/messy toppings like cole slaw, shredded lettuce, and so on.
The Hollow Buns would also reduce the ratio of bread to ingredients, for maximum content enjoyment.
The tops and bottoms would probably have to be baked separately in convex trays to create the hollows for better form and texture (rather than hollowing out regular buns after the fact).
But however they would do it, there is a better way to bun.
